ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nature Guide to join our team at Ngauwudu Safari Camp. Our operations are world-class, delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism. As a Nature Guide, your focus will be on creating memorable, high-quality experiences through safe, engaging, and informative tours. This is a role where your “office” is one of the Kimberley’s most iconic landscapes. You’ll guide guests through the breathtaking Punamii-Uunpuu (Mitchell Falls), leading scenic nature walks past ancient rock art and dramatic escarpments, before taking to the skies on spectacular helicopter flights over the falls and surrounding wilderness. Key Responsibilities: Create warm, professional guest interactions from arrival through to departure. Share knowledge of native flora, fauna, ecosystems, wildlife, and the cultural significance of land and sea. Collaborate with Indigenous guides and local partners. Safely operate vehicles to transport guests to and from tour locations. Maintain a strong focus on safety, risk awareness, and emergency response, including first aid when required. Maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and operational readiness. Assist with lodge or camp operations during non-tour periods, including general maintenance and support duties. ABOUT YOU: You are an adaptable, guest-focused guide who enjoys working in remote environments and delivering meaningful experiences. You are a confident navigating difficult terrain in larger vehicles and you take pride in sharing knowledge that brings landscapes, wildlife, and culture to life. You will ideally have: Experience guiding nature-based tours in remote or wilderness settings. Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor experiences to different guests. A high level of environmental and cultural awareness, including respect for Indigenous culture and Country. A strong safety mindset and the ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic situations. Confidence operating vehicles and working as part of a small, close-knit team. Many are accessible only by air, with staff flown from Darwin via our private aviation network. You will live and work onsite (complementary accommodation and meals) for the duration of the season, with limited connectivity and access to towns.
